Clint’s Crew took over top spot in local eight-ball league standings with a resounding win over early-season leaders the Ramblin’ Rowdies last Thursday.

The team of Bob Edzerza, Bill Berezowski, and brothers Clint and Carl Carpentier had an easy time of it in their victory over their injury-depleted rivals.

It would have been a shutout win had it not been for the inspired play of Vicki Irvine who took 71 of a possible 80 points for the Rowdies.

In other action, the Bad Goatees continued their climb up the standings with a 6-3 win over the Cats.

The Kids in the Hall, who made a big move in the standings last week, ran into an unexpected roadblock en route to their dream of league domination from the last place team, We’ve Got Balls.

The cellar dwellers gave the Kids all they could handle but came up just short in a 5-4 loss.

Elsewhere, the Cunning Stunts, led by the resurgent Jeremy Scott, posted a 6-3 victory over the Alpha Cues who stumbled despite a 76-point night from their emotional leader Oliver Robitaille.

Team Awesome also prevailed over Balls Deep with a 6-3 victory.
