It was quite the morning for young athletes in the Yukon capital.
More than 140 youths between five and 14 took part in the annual Whitehorse Kids’ Triathlon at the Canada Games Centre on Sunday.
Participants began their races in the pool, before transitioning to their bicycles, then concluding the tri-sport event with a last dash to the finish line in the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club stadium.
The non-competitive triathlon put on by the City of Whitehorse was first held three years ago to promote active living for youth.
