The Boychuk Knoblauch Ewasiuk Financial Team from CIBC Wood Gundy donated $5,000 to the Kid's Recreation Fund this month with proceeds from CIBC's Miracle Day.

"CIBC Miracle Day was founded on the principle of acting locally to make life better for children. We are glad that Miracle funds raised through our Whitehorse clients each year continue to benefit kids in the surrounding area,” said Dean Knoblauch, vice president and investment adviser for CIBC Wood Gundy, Whitehorse. "The Yukon Sport Kids Recreation Fund helps to provide children with access to sport and recreation programs that otherwise would be unavailable to them.”

Sport Yukon accepted the cheque at an investors meeting held April 20.

CIBC has donated $20,132.52 since 2007 to the fund, that helps children that may not be able to afford it get involved in sports through funding of registration fees, supplies and equipment. A total of 5,000 local children have benefitted from the fund so far.

"Our Team, like other CIBC Wood Gundy branches, is able to direct Miracle funds to our local charity of choice,” Knoblauch said.
