Chadburn Lake will be shown off this week in the Thursday night Sportslife trail run.
The course is approximately 6.5 kilometres long and is ranked as moderate in difficulty.
The run will begin with a long, gradual climb before leveling out. Runners eventually work their way back along the Yukon River trail, taking in a fantastic view of the valley.
The run gets underway at 6:30 p.m., but runners are asked to be there for 6:15 p.m. as a conservation officer from the Yukon government will be on hand to give a few pointers on bear awareness.
Last week's run featured 14 runners, who made their way around Long Lake.
The course was 6.8-km long and included a few hills. Despite the hills, it was ranked as an easy run.
Well seasoned masters runner Tom Ullyet captured the top time at 33:34 for the course and Nancy Thomson was the first woman to make it back.
Thomson's time was 38:46, which was good enough for fifth place in the overall standings.
The Thursday night runs feature a new course each week, proving some great exposure for Whitehorse's trail network.
Other results this past Thursday included Scott Gilbert, who placed second, crossing the line at 34:53.
Darren Holcombe came in less than one minute ahead of Thomson and Sandro Holzinger. Holcombe's time was 37:52.
Stefan Waterhagen placed sixth with his time of 39:18.
Brian Mottus, meanwhile, edged out Claude Chabot by 13 seconds to finish seventh.
