CCHL’s Sundogs beat slumping Raiders 4-2

The Sun Life Sundogs surprised the Rapid Fire Raiders Wednesday night, handing them a 4-2 loss.

The Sun Life Sundogs surprised the Rapid Fire Raiders Wednesday night, handing them a 4-2 loss.

The revamped Sundogs got goals from Riley Gibson, Marc Lapointe, Lief Barry-Martin and Colin Wassenaar in the Canyon City Hockey League game.

Chris Cann and Eric McClement were the only Raiders players able to beat Sundogs goalie Stacey Bowden.

Meanwhile, the Dirty Northern Muckers handed the Raiders a 7-1 loss Monday.

Justin Halowaty and Colin Nickerson each had two goals in the win, while Tyson Kellermann, Andy Connors and Derrick Hynes added singles.

Cann was the lone Raider to score.

In Saturday night CCHL action, the Bantam Mustangs, sponsored by Mic Mac Toyota, beat the Sundogs 5-2 on goals by Dylan Cozens, Joe Stokes, Johnny Elias, Mackenzie Benn-Wipp and Payton Fobe.

Jordon Moore scored twice for the Sundogs.
