The second nine goal game in as many days has earned the Cariboo Cougars a weekend sweep over the Kootenay Ice and sole possession of first place in the BC Major Midget League hockey standings.

Nathan Craft's hat trick powered the Cats to the 9-2 win while Tanner Fjellstrom, Eli Jarvis, Tyler Povelofskie, Jake LeBrun and Logan Styler each had a two-point game.

Nathan Warren stopped 18 shots for the win as the Cougars outshot the Ice 45-20 at the Castlegar Community Complex.
