BROOMBALL OPENER – Eight teams played nearly 30 games in the Bob Park Icebreaker Opening Broomball Tournament Nov. 3 - 5 at the Takhini Arena. At the end of Saturday night, team NNDDC Nacho was victorious. “Everything went really smooth,” said Yukon Broomball Association president Kirk Gilbert. The formate changed from a double elimination to a round-robin. “You got to play everybody, which is kind of nice.” The Yukon Broomball Association is aiming to be on the ice at the end of November for the start of the regular season, weather permitting.
