Yukon Brewing earned their first old-timer soccer victory in style.

The crew tallied a magnificent seven goals in a 7-0 win over Pepsi at the Canada Games Centre Saturday morning.

After a cagey first half where Brew goalie George Maratos was magnificent, the squad went through the gears scoring at will as a tired Pepsi deflated.

Steve Insley, Liz Bradley, Bruno Bourdache, Jurgen Korn, Mark O’Brien, Jim Brown and Rich Potter all got goals in the win.

Meanwhile, the late game was also a goal-fest with Klondike Business Solutions (KBS) coming out on top 5-4 over Quest Computers.

There was a whiff of controversy over the winning goal when Dino Zazula stretched to toe-poke the winning goal in.

Typically, players are not allowed to slide, as they are required to stay on their feet during game action.

But both referees were satisfied that no harm was done and the goal stood.

That result was a bit harsh on Timothy Fawehinmi, as he got four goals for Quest.

The other scorers for KBS were Danny Macdonald (2). Kurt Bringsli and Adil Khalik.
