BP stuffs Canucks; Mustangs edge Jets

Derek Johnstone and Lance Brown led the offensive charge for Boston Pizza, each notching three goals and two assists as they crushed the Cinderwood Canucks12-5 in Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League action Sunday.

Derek Johnstone and Lance Brown led the offensive charge for Boston Pizza, each notching three goals and two assists as they crushed the Cinderwood Canucks12-5 in Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League action Sunday.

Bryan Curial and Rob Johnson each added a pair of goals and a pair of assists while Barry Blisner chipped in a goal and four helpers. Mike Young claimed a goal and two assists while James Edzerza finished with three assists and Dean Mastrangelo had one.

Frank Aucoin picked up two goals and an assist for the Canucks. Ian Kuster and Spencer Bergen each tacked on a goal and an assist while Mike L'Henaff also found the back of the net. Jay Glass, Jake Doerksen and Aaron Pettit were each credited with a pair of assists while Mark King had one helper.

Northern Cross

Midget Mustangs 6

Air North Jets 4

Scoring came from all corners for the Northern Cross Midget Mustangs, as they downed the Air North Jets.

Kane Dawe recorded a goal and two assists for the Mustangs while Robbie Stuckey, Ted Stephens and Lowell Johnston each contributed a goal and one assist. Nicholas Swizdaryk and Kevin Pike also bulged the twine while Alex Johnston and Glen Skookum were awarded assists.

Willy McKenna replied for Air North with a pair of goals and an assist. Ryan Kinney added a goal and an assist while Shawn Kinsella also scored. Gerry Grant grabbed two assists.

Southern Tutchone Storm 13

Yukon Appliance Blues 12

Matt Horsey had a huge game for the Southern Tutchone Storm, collecting six goals as his team prevailed in a battle with the Yukon Appliance Blues.

Tim McIntosh added four markers for the Storm while Ryan Hodgins, Andrew Sprokkreeff and Darrell Sturko also lit the lamp.

Joe Martin posted four goals for the Blues while Thom Minard popped in a pair. Ryan Martin, Pat Kenny, Cary Goodman, Jakub Jirousek, Daryn Leas and Jeff Monkman chipped in the addititional goals.

Northern Cross

Midget Mustangs 3

Mike Young picked up two goals and an assist, as he helped Boston Pizza double the Northern Cross Midget Mustangs, the team he coaches.

Lance Brown tacked on a goal and two assists for the Mustangs while Jay Glass claimed a goal and one helper. Bryan Curial and Ed Peart also scored whilt Derek Johnstone finished with a pair of assists.

Kane Dawe potted a pair of goals for the Mustangs while Robbie Stuckey supplied the additional goal. Assists went to Lowell Johnston (2) Ted Stephens, Colin Dendys and Kaleb Dawe.

Alwarid & Associates 6

Game 7 Sports 3

Tyson Hawkins recorded a hat trick as well as an assist, as Alwarid & Associates denied Game 7 Sports.

Blayne Monahan posted a goal and an assist for A&A while Roger Floyd and Taylor Love also found the back of the net. Marcel Barrault and Brad Holm were credited with assists.

Ben Cole, Danny Crawford and Logan Freese provided the offence for Game 7, assisted by Cole and Josh Clark.

Environmental Dynamics 9

Narrow Gauge Contracting 3

Brian Douglas notched three goals and an assist for Environmental Dynamics as they overpowered Narrow Gauge Contracting.

Hugo Bergeron tacked on a pair of goals and an assist for EDI while Dan Beaudoin also potted a pair. Marc Champagne and Andy Connors each netted a goal and two assists while Stacy Halonen, Andrew Greenlaw, Doug Cote and Jeremy Hookham were awarded assists.

Phillip Harry, Adrian Bergman and Tytus Hardy scored for NG, with assists going to Harry and Hector Lang.

Kluane Drillers 4

Alkan Air 4

Doug Roberts collected a hat trick for the Kluane Drillers as his team settled for a draw with Alkan Air.

Tyler Murray added a goal and three assists for the Drillers while Rob Pitzel grabbed a pair of assists.

Brent Byers and Shawn Taylor replied for Alkan, each netting a goal and an assist. Russ Mumert and Paul Hamilton also lit the lamp.

Environmental Dynamics 10

Game 7 Sports 4

Thirteen different players hit the score sheet for Environmental Dynamics in their convincing win over Game 7 Sports.

Dave Richard led the way for EDI with three goals while Andrew Greenlaw posted a pair of markers. Jeremy Hookham chipped in a goal and two assists while Alain Desrocher and Pat Tobler each picked up a goal and one helper. Justin Halowaty and Jeff Bond also hit the twine.

Dan Johnson and Mike Beauchamp notched two goals apiece for Game 7.
