Boston Pizza win a low scoring affair on Monday in the U-12 Soccer League

One goal was all it took for Boston Pizza, who managed to squeak out a close win over EVF Fuelwood in the U-12 Soccer League on Monday.

U-12 Soccer League: June 2

Boston Pizza 1, EVF Fuelwood 0

Noah Kitchen scored the lone goal with only five minutes remaining in Monday's game to beat the EVF goalkeeper, who had an otherwise stellar performance

Katja and Garrett played outstanding defense, keeping the game close until the end.

Honorable mention goes to Felix Russell for his tremendous shut out goaltending performance.


U-11 Soccer League: June 2

Prime Meridian Physiotherapy 1, Henry Gulch Explorations 1

Prime Meridian lone goal was scored by Brendan Irish, while the team's MVP honour went to Alexandra Maltais.

Anna Janowicz scored the only goal for Henry Gulch Explorations and Dakota Thompson was named as MVP.


Tim Hortons 6, Surgical Incisions 3

Etienne Geoffray-Gagnon put on a show for Tim Hortons, finishing the game with a hat trick, while Peter Jacobs also played very well, scoring twice in the team's victory.

Kole Comin scored the remaining goal for Tim Hortons and Kathleen Pereira was named as MVP.

The goal scorers for Surgical Incisions were Chyanne Spenner, Sam Wintemute and Jakov Tokic, while the team's MVP was Spencer Panter.


U-8 Soccer League: May 29

Jack Blair played a tremendous game for Yukon Outfitters and was named as the team's MVP, while Austin Hayduck impressive performance earned him MVP honour for Coldwell Bankers.

Due to a shortage of players in R-Pay Active Yukon's game against Mosi Oa Tunya, Dylan Cozens and Campbell Burdenie challenged their own team, along with Dylan's younger brother Connor who was brought up from the U-6 league for the occasion.

In the hard fought Mosi Oa victory, MVP honours went to Tyler Milton and Samantha Ng for their great passing and stalwart defense.

Amanda Thomson wowed more than a few people with her great play for Team Antigua and was named as MVP.

The Truss Plant's MVP was Lukas Jirousek, who also played exceptionally well in the contest against Team Antigua.

Ben Petkovich, who scored two goals, was named as MVP for Access Consulting. Sam Fleming was also named as MVP for the great job in net.


U-7 Soccer League: May 29

Ewan Halliday played tremendously well for Coates Services Yukon and was named as the MVP, while the team's star player was Torsten Nordlund.

Coldwell Banker benefited from two great performances by Zachary Zimmerman, who was named as MVP and the team's star player, Landyn Blisner.

Hanna Linklater played outstanding for M&M Meatballs and was named the team's MVP, while Seth Carey also did very well and was named the team's star

player.

The MVP for Envirolube was Wyatt Peterson and Axel Garcia was named as the team's star player.
