Boston Pizza edges out the Deli in U-12 Soccer League competition

Players on Boston Pizza played a rock-solid defensive game, Monday in the U-12 Soccer League, limiting their opponents to just one goal in the victory.

Players on Boston Pizza played a rock-solid defensive game, Monday in the U-12 Soccer League, limiting their opponents to just one goal in the victory.

U-12 Soccer: May 26

Boston Pizza 3, The Deli 1

Cole Morris notched two of Boston Pizza's three goals, while Sam Burgis netted the other goal in the win.

Boston Pizza's MVP was Adam Waddington for his outstanding shutout goaltending in the first half of the contest.

Andrew Scoffin scored the lone goal for The Deli and Jorey Bauer was named as MVP.

Bauer's tremendous play throughout the game included stellar runs through the midfield and two shots off the post.


U-10 Soccer: May 26

Bank of Montreal 7, Dirkbuilt Contracting 1

Bank of Montreal had three multiple goal scorers in its game against Dirkbuilt Contracting.

Kyran Allen, Chance Goodman and Jude Lemoine combined for six goals for Bank of Montreal. Each player scored twice in the team's win.

Nicholas Steinbach scored the other Bank of Montreal goal, while Tristan Rentmeister netted the lone goal for Dirkbuilt Contracting.


U-11 Soccer League: May 26

Prime Meridian 5, Medicine Chest 0

Bradon Lefler led all goal scorers on Prime Meridian, notching two goals in the team's victory over Medicine Chest.

The team's three other goal scorers were Ian Hansen, Kieran Stacey and Danika Pennell , who was also named as Prime Meridian's MVP, while Medicine Chest's MVP was Max Clarke.


Your Dream Home 2, Tim Hortons 1

Chris Torgerson and Nick Light each scored for Your Dream Home in the team's close win over Tim Hortons.

Your Dream Home's MVP honors went to Tristen Inglis-Comeau.

Tim Hortons lone goal scorer was Etienne Geoffries, while the team's MVP award went to Brayden Klassen.


U-16 Soccer: May 22

Bumper to Bumper 11, Alpine Bakery 4

Joaquin McWatters carried the offensive load for Bumper to Bumper, notching five goals in total to help the team get the victory.

Chalie Kedziora also played very well for Bumper to Bumper, scoring a hat trick, while Scott Dupont finished with two goals.

Kelsey Smeeton scored the remaining goal for the team, while Bumper to Bumper's MVP honours was Trevor Hana for volunteering to play goal for the short-handed Bakery.

Kile Riley, Helen Hedstrom-Langford, Travis Pumphrey and Owen Hedstrom-Langford, who was also named as MVP, each scored once for the Bakery.
