A record number of 63 participants took part in the Intersport Fun Run/Walk Tuesday night in Whitehorse.

The first female runner across the finish line was Sue Bogle, in a time of 20:28, while the first male was Shane Carlos, in a time of 15:50.

The first female walker in was Tanya Astika, with a time of 35:28, while the first male was Randy Dart, with a time of 39:49.

The Intersport Fun Run/Walk is held every Tuesday night during the summer, starting from the F.H. Collins parking lot at 6:30 p.m. The cost for members is $2 and the cost for non-Athletics Yukon members is $4.

Meanwhile, Athletics Yukon also held an event on Sunday, the Canada Day 1 Miler.
