Bluewave Energy earns dominant squash win

Bluewave Energy has quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the Div. 2 squash league.

Bluewave Energy has quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with in the Div. 2 squash league.

The club hammered the Yukon Transportation Museum 24-5 in action last night.

Sana Syed, Erika Joubert, Cathy MacDonald and Scott Burrell all won their games, giving Bluewave a firm hold of first place with 80 points, 17 up on Sterling Insurance and the Electrical Shop.

In other action last night, the Electrical Shop edged Sterling Insurance 19-13 behind wins by David Buckler, Mandeep Sidhu (sub) and Ben Craigen.

Coast High Country Inn beat Riverstone Dental Clinic 17-14 thanks to victories by Brett Walchuk and Shirley Chua (sub).

In Div. 1 action Tuesday, Assante beat Yukon Tree Services 16-12, Better Bookkeeping downed Outside the Cube 21-10, and Earls Restaurant edged Aurora Geosciences 17-15.

Assante leads Div. 1 with 81 points.
