Blues put an end to losing skid

After suffering three straight losses to end the first half of the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League season, the defending-champion Yukon Appliance Blues rebounded with a 8-5 victory over the Cinderwood Canucks Tuesday.

After suffering three straight losses to end the first half of the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League season, the defending-champion Yukon Appliance Blues rebounded with a 8-5 victory over the Cinderwood Canucks Tuesday.

Jason Berkers recorded a hat trick for the Blues while Joe Martin and Cary Goodman each tacked on a pair of markers. Clayton Thomas also hit the twine.

Mark King potted two goals for the Canucks while Kirk Gale, Ian Kuster and Kerry Pettitt also scored.

In the other rec hockey game Tuesday, it was:

Southern Tutchone Storm 9

Kluane Drillers 4

Wyatt Drift led the Southern Tutchone Storm with three goals as his team dominated the Kluane Drillers.

Scott Horsey and Ryan Gleason each added a pair of goals while Tim MacIntosh and Cody Joe contributed singles.

Tyler Murray, Duane Shewfelt, Mark Daniels and Doug Roberts provided the offence for the Drillers.
