Bell, Grundmanis take first place in junior squash championships

The 2005 Yukon junior squash championships were held at Better Bodies in Whitehorse last weekend.

The 2005 Yukon junior squash championships were held at Better Bodies in Whitehorse last weekend.

More than 15 athletes took part in the event, which was the last local competition of the squash season.

A Division

1st Place Jane Bell, 9-6, 9-2, 9-6

2nd Place Robert McMynn

3rd Place Shaun Stinson

4th Place Ian March (injured)

B Division

1st Place Stephen Grundmanis, 9-6, 9-2, 9-6

2nd Place Kai Knorr

3rd Place Jeanette Carney, 4-9, 9-5, 5-9, 9-6, 10-9

4th Place Haley Thomson

Consolation Tom Fulop over Sophia Flather, 9-3, 9-3, 7-9, 9-4

C Division (Round Robin)
