B.C. champs final tuneup for CWG

The B.C. junior squash championships were held this past weekend at the Jericho Club in Vancouver.

The B.C. junior squash championships were held this past weekend at the Jericho Club in Vancouver.

All eight members of the Yukon's Canada Winter Games squad competed at the event, as well as Jasper Martin, the alternate for the boy's team. Jeanette Carney is the alternate for the girl's team but could not attend the tournament.

After a full weekend of play, two Yukoners posted very impressive results. Jane Bell placed first in the under-17 girl's category while Sophia Flather was second in the under-15 girl's division.
