FAST FINISH – Landon Nielsen mushes into the finish in the Kids 2 Dog race in the Babe Southwick Memorial Saturday. Nielsen finished second in the race, which is named after Babe Southwick, who died during the 1965 Rendezvous dog races. Her number 8 racing bib was retired as well.

OFF AND RUNNING – Bode Johnson starts the Kids 2 Dog race at the Babe Southwick Memorial. Johnson had an issue with his sled, so wasn’t able to finish the race.

COMIN’ AT YA – Lana Johnson participates in the Kids 1 Dog race. She finished second in the race.

The Babe Southwick races started last weekend with skijouring and kids races at Ibex Valley Tracks.
