Assante jumps into first place in weekly squash league; team has 85 points after six weeks

The Tuesday Night squash league standings got a little tighter this week thanks to a strong 20-point performance by Assante and a bye week for Pizza Hut.

The Tuesday Night squash league standings got a little tighter this week thanks to a strong 20-point performance by Assante and a bye week for Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut had previously occupied the number one spot last week and are currently tied for second with Ketza with 83 points.

All four players on Assante contributed to Assante scoring the most points in this week's league competition, which included two six point performances from Eric Marcoux and Glen Rudman.


Assante 20, Ketza 13

Lori Muir also played very well for Assante, finishing with five points, while Richard Meredith scored three points in the team's win.

Phil Jackson scored three points for Ketza and Sam Penner finished with three.


Kilrich 15, Yukon Brewing 14

Thanks to another great team outing, Kilrich finds itself in sole possession of third place with 82 points, while Yukon Brewing sits in sixth place with 72 points.


Roche Firth Financial 18, MEADIAsolutions 16

Kyle Marchuk and Doug Thorseth each contributed six points in Roche Firth Financial's win, while teammates Michel Gelinas and Patrick Gardiner scored three points apiece.

Gord Starko and Peter Mathur finished with six points for MEADIAsolutions in the close loss.
