‘Amazing’ skate park opens

The new skateboard park in Whitehorse was officially opened Tuesday afternoon.

The new skateboard park in Whitehorse was officially opened Tuesday afternoon.

Mayor Dan Curtis and Minister of Community Services and Minister responsible for the Workers’ Compensation Health and Safety Board Richard Mostyn gave speeches.

According to users, the $3.5 million park is amazing

It is good to see many helmets in these extraordinary photos. That is a hard landing. Glad to see 4 generations out for a sport that gets folks out and active. If you’ve never watched it I highly recommend a stroll over to the park. You are likely to see some jaw-dropping displays of skill, balance and jumps that seem to defy gravity.

Leah is 2- theres a 100 year age span in that photo! People of all ages forming community in the new park. How wonderful!
