All-Star game pits rookies against veterans

The Pinoy basketball league played their second annual all-star game at F.H. Collins School Saturday night.

ALL-STARS – The Pinoy basketball league played their second annual all-star game at F.H. Collins School Saturday night. The rookies won a game littered with fouls 112-94. Right: Eman New, of the veterans, takes a break as play pauses for a foul; Centre: Lyndon Pagobo (69), playing for the rookies, takes a shot; Left: Kenneth Valdez (4), of the rookies, jumps up for a shot uncontested. The 3-point shoot-out was won by Matt Castroverde and the skills competition was won by Eman Aguinaldo. MVPS were Josh Rumbaoa and Chad Williams. The top scorers were, for the rookies, Ian New and Williams with 15, and for the veterans, Eman New with a gamehigh 22 points.
