Airnorth/Cinderwood net 8 goals in Rec. Hockey League victory

A strong five goal opening period carried Air North/Cinderwood to an impressive 8-6 victory over Yukon Appliance in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League's A division on Monday.

A strong five goal opening period carried Air North/Cinderwood to an impressive 8-6 victory over Yukon Appliance in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League's A division on Monday.


Air North/Cinderwood 8, Yukon Appliance 6

Ryan Gleason finished with a hat trick to lead all goal scorers on Air North/Cinderwood, while Darrell Sturko also had a three point performance, notching two goals and contributing one assist.

Ryan Kinney and Frank Aucoin each chipped in a goal and one assist, while the remaining goal scorer on Air North/Cinderwood was Chris Gleason.

Ben Harper also had a great game, finishing with three assists.

Jacob Jirousek finished with a hat trick for Yukon Appliance, while Eric Kositsin scored a goal and added two assists.

Aaron Pettitt and Chris Dixon also scored, while Ryan Martin, Geoff Corbett, Brian Curry and Curtis Goodman each finished with one assist.


Boston Pizza Hawks 4, ORC Tree Services 3

Jamie Edzerza scored twice for the Hawks in the team's game against ORC Tree Services on Monday.

Derek Johnstone notched one goal and added one assist, while Ian Kuster also scored for Boston Pizza.

Nelson Turnbull finished with two assists in the win.

Jordan Johnson and Dan Cole each finished with two points for ORC Tree Services, with each player scoring a goal and adding one assist.

Jeremy Kovac also scored for the team, while Matt Johnson, Ben Cole and Arlo O'Riordan added one assist.Air North/Cinderwood nets eight goals in recreational hockey league victory
