The Air North Jets are on a roll and not looking back.

The team has won three straight games and on Sunday they eliminated Roadhouse from their Whitehorse Recreational Hockey 'A' Division series.

Air North played an outstanding first period, scoring four goals and followed that up with a five-goal second frame to get the 9-2 victory in the final game of the series.

In their previous contest, the Jets beat Roadhouse by the close score of 5-4 played on Thursday in the best of three series.

Goal scorers on Thursday included Darius Elias, with two; Scott Horsey, with two; Ryan Kinney, with one; Shawn Kolak, with one and Greg Charlie with one.

Scott Horsey led the way in both scoring and total points for the Jets in Sunday's game. Horsey finished with a hat trick and added three assists.

Matt Horsey also finished with three goals and contributed one assist in the victory, while Tim McLelland scored two goals.

Darius Elias finished with one goal and one assist.

Chris Johnson scored both goals for Roadhouse, while Darren Van Langen, Mike Gau, Jake Derksen and Andrew Sprokkreeff each added one assist in the loss.


ORC Tree Services 5, Narrow Gauge Contracting 4

ORC scored the winning goal with less than two minutes left in the game in their 'B' playoff matchup Sunday.

Danny Crawford led the way in scoring for ORC with two goals, while Arlo Riodran, Jesse Gilday and Logan Freese each added one goal in the victory.

Jeremy Kovac and Danny Johnson contributed an assist for ORC.

Dan MacDonald scored twice for Narrow Gauge Contracting, while Hector Lang and Chris Kostelnik each finished with one goal.

Other notables included Andrew Johnson, who finished with two assists for Narrow Gauge Contracting, while Yves Paradis, Durand Cornett and Matt Bowen each finished with one assist in the loss.
