Air North/Cinderwood score 15 goals in rec hockey league

The goals came early and often for Air North/Cinderwood in Monday's Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League game.

The goals came early and often for Air North/Cinderwood in Monday's Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League game.

The squad built up a comfortable 6-0 lead after just 22 minutes of play in its A divisional matchup against ORC Tree Services.

In an action packed second period, both teams combined for 16 goals, with Air North/Cinderwood winning 15-7.

Jay Glass scored one goal in the first period and followed it up with four more in the second. Glass also contributed two assists in the victory, while Chris Gleason netted five and added one assist.

Other goal scorers on the team included Kirk Gale, Nigel Cripps, Wes Marsh, Frank Aucoin and Darrell Sturko.

Phillip Mullin finished with four goals for ORC, while Jeremy Hookham scored twice and Terrance Tait netted one.


Kluane Drillers 5, Boston Pizza 4

Andrew Zinck scored a hat trick for the Drillers, while Tyson Hawkings put in the team's remaining two goals.

Lance Brown led Boston Pizza in scoring with three helpers and Berry Bilsner contributed the squad's remaining goal.
