Students in Grades 4-7 from seven Whitehorse schools are coming to the Yukon School Challenge this year, being held at the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club today.

The Yukon School Challenge is an event that brings together skiers of all abilities for a fun day of activities.

Activities began this morning based at the stadium for when the schools were combined into mixed teams and students tried their hand at stations such as jumps, bumps, jib skiing and para nordic sit-skiing all to the sound of music and laughter throughout the stadium.

After all that activity, a free lunch was provided to hungry skiers by Cross Country Yukon.

Students will then be back in the stadium for an afternoon of sprint events. To top off the day, all skiers will be given a free gift from Cross Country Canada.

Cross Country Yukon partnered with Cross Country Canada, the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club,Tim Hortons and the Grey Mt. Lions Club.
