• Bears achieve unprecedented success at provincials In what could be viewed as a sign of the growing talent and enthusiasm on the Whitehorse Glacier Bears Swim Club, 13 swimmers will be bringing back 18 medals from the recent B.C. AAA championships in Prince George.
• Sabo and Smith fastest in Intersport Fun Run/Walk Twenty-five athletes turned out for the weekly Intersport Fun Run/Walk on Tuesday, held at F.H. Collins Secondary School.
• Dozens compete in orienteering meet The Yukon Orienteering Association held a meet Wednesday night on the Paddy's Pond map, with the start and finish in Hillcrest.

• Yukon's actually becoming a bit of a powerhouse' The Canadian orienteering championships won't be held in Whitehorse this year, but they may as well be with the number of Yukoners that are taking part.
• YHRA to host 26th annual Summer Horse Show The 26th annual Summer Horse Show will take place July 14 through 17 in Whitehorse, at the horse show grounds located on the Snow Haul Road, off Range Road.

• Despite harsh conditions, it's triple gold for Lassen Hot weather and bad event organization made for a less than ideal situation at this past weekend's World University Weightlifting Championships in Villeneuve-Loubet, France.

• Yukon continues to excel in Special Olympics competition The medals continue to pile up for Yukon Special Olympics athletes.
• This team has the potential to be the best ever' With just over a month to go until the Yukon's Canada Summer Games male soccer team hits the field in Regina, they continue to prove they just may be the best U-18 squad to ever come out of the territory.

• Hulstein wins two events at Outside track meet Eight Yukon athetes and coach Don White participated in the Jack Brow Memorial Track and Field Meet last weekend in Kelowna, B.C
• Fussel, Palahicky tops in Intersport fun run Nearly 40 athletes turned out for the Intersport 5 km Fun Run/Walk on Tuesday evening, held at F.H. Collins Secondary School.
• Assante Financial sneaks past Intersport in coed soccer Chantel Beaudin and Stephan Gaim netted two goals apiece for Assante Financial Management as they downed Intersport 6-4 in Whitehorse Coed Soccer League action Monday.
