Sept. 3, 2006, was a sad day for tennis fans all over the world, indeed. On that day, American tennis great Andre Agassi retired from tennis after losing the third round match of the U.S. Open to German player Benjamin Becker, saying good-bye to his many fans and a great tennis career that had lasted 21 years.
