  • We think we have to coddle criminals The last time I visited the United States, I picked up a local newspaper and read a headline explaining that the Supreme Court was to consider whether a Florida inmate on death row could challenge the injection process (the death penalty in Florida is carried out via lethal injection), since he had exhausted all the usual appeals.
  • The PM brought us disappointment For the people of any city, a visit by the prime minister of Canada should be considered a great honour.
