Raymond Durell JR. (SOUNE, RAY RAY)

March 28, 1948 - June 29, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond Durell announce his passing on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in his 73rd year. Born to Raymond and Marguerite Durelle, in Miramichi, New Brunswick.

Ray was the oldest of five children. Ray was predeceased by his father Raymond Durelle Sr. He is survived by his spouse Sylvia Randell; his three sons Kye Durell, Kasey Durell of Whitehorse, Yukon, Raymond Durell III of Edmonton (Kathy), and grandchildren Natalie & Benjamin.

Also left to mourn are his mother Marguerite Durelle; three brothers, Gilles (Kathy), Adrien (Gabe), Buff (Bernice), and his little sister Flo (Ron), (He always bragged about and was so very proud of her!) as well as his many nieces and nephews and their families, all from the Moncton Baie Ste. Anne area, the Randell family and many wonderful friends all over Canada!

Ray (SOUNE) was a very talented musician with an amazing voice. Ray spent the last 29 years in Whitehorse, and loved the Yukon lifestyle. After retiring from the City of Whitehorse, he spent his time doing what he enjoyed most, fishing and spending good times with friends and family.

Ray lived a wonderful life. Gone but never forgotten. Gone to join his father to have a wonderful meal of Quahogs. As per Ray’s wishes there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Sons will spread dad’s ashes at later date.
