Obituary of Barry McCreadie

Feb 13, 1957 –Jun 29, 2023

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the McCreadie family has lost their beloved Barry on Thursday, June 29, 2023, to a courageous battle with cancer while surrounded by family. He was 66 years of age.

Leaving behind his loving wife Sharon; son Scott (Kristina), daughter Chelsea; grandchildren Corbin, Sophia, Asher, and Abigail; brother Michael (Jan); stepmom Eleanor; as well as many more family and friends.

Barry was pre-deceased by his father William, mom Madeline and brother Scott.

Barry was born in Goose Bay, Labrador. He moved to Whitehorse in 1976, meeting his wife Sharon and living in the Yukon until 2017. The family then moved to Dawson Creek, BC to be nearer to his 4 beloved grandchildren.

Barry loved to spend time with his family camping, fishing and being outdoors. He was an avid baseball fan, player and coach to his children when they were younger. He had a passion for cooking, loved a good joke and music.

He is truly missed and forever in our hearts.

The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

Barry you were always my number one softball coach for many years. We had many laughs over the years. All my best to your family during this tough time.
