It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Irene Hobbis. Dorothy passed peacefully on October 22, 2023. As with her life, her final hours were spent surrounded by family.

Dorothy who was just months away from turning 100, lived a simple yet full life. She was a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and a trustworthy friend to all who had the honour to meet and come to know her.

While her 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren will forever miss the presence of their Mom and Grandma, the lessons, values, and unwavering positivity, kindness and love she passed onto them will carry them through their personal loss and into a fulfilling future.

Instantly, our world would be a better place, if every person that Dorothy has touched put just a little bit of her kindness into their lives.

Service to be held November 10, 2023 at 1 pm at Grace Community Church - 801 Wheeler St

Followed by Internment at Grey Mountain Cemetery

Reception to be held at the Yukon Golden Age Society 4-7 pm - 4061 4th Avenue
