BONNIE MERCER GUY

FEBRUARY 12, 1950 – APRIL 11, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Mercer Guy.

Bonnie left us April 11, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by eldest daughter Amanda, son-in-law Stacey, granddaughters Holly and Claire, and her youngest daughter Heidi. Bonnie also leaves behind those she loved as her own biological children, Anthony Guy, Greg Braga, and countless others.

Bonnie touched so many lives in her 73 years with us which makes this loss so profound. Bonnie always believed in an open-door policy, her door was always open to those who needed a cup of coffee, a hot meal, a warm bed to sleep in or just an ear to listen. Her generosity knew no limits, even in her last days and her family hopes to carry on that legacy.

Bonnie was never happier than in her 32 years as a Yukon resident. She loved the north and all it brought to her. From her time working as a Chef in hotel kitchens, to residing on the bench as a Territorial Justice of the Peace.

Bonnie considered her greatest accomplishments in this life to be her children, her grandchildren, and the close friends she cherished so deeply.

We will be celebrating Bonnie’s life with a gathering of friends and family to be held Saturday May 13th, 2023.

For more information on the gathering, please email her daughter Heidi at: bonniesgathering@outlook.com

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mae Bachur Humane Society in Bonnie’s name.
