Andrew encouraged the informality of using first names instead of Doctor, which helped the patient be a collaborator in their own health care. After he closed the clinical practice, we had frank and thoughtful conversations about his own condition. One could feel the great intelligence and courageous commitment to research that still lived within him.

Andrew was a very kind human being with a beautiful soul. He not only helped me with his immense medical knowledge - he also liked to practise his original Swiss language with me. He will forever be remembered with fondness.
