Yukon RCMP make arrest in Whitehorse homicide

A 50-year-old Whitehorse woman faces a murder charge in connection with the April 6, 2017 death of 45-year-old Greg Dawson.

A 50-year-old Whitehorse woman faces a murder charge in connection with the April 6, 2017 death of 45-year-old Greg Dawson.

Connie Peggy Thorn was arrested Wednesday morning in Whitehorse, the RCMP said later that day.

Thorn has been charged with second-degree murder. She was scheduled to appear in court today.

This is the first major arrest for the Yukon RCMP’s new Historical Crime Unit, which has been fully staffed with three full-time investigators since February 2019.

Good job coppers, hopefully the case is tight...cuz the courts are not.
