Donations continue to pour in for the silent auction on Dec. 9 that will raise money for Paul and Jeanine Baker, whose home was destroyed by vandals using a stolen bulldozer on Nov. 16.

Harreson Tanner, a local artist and member of Yukon Artists at Work, said this morning recent donations include a one-day dog sled ride for two, a 'beautiful framed photograph' from Star photographer Vince Fedoroff, a half-hour helicopter ride from Heli Dynamics, and a multi-course Newfoundland dinner at the Green Tea House.

Larry and Anne Turner, owners of Grey Wolf Construction, have donated a crew to reframe the Bakers' house back to its original size, said Tanner.

Kilrich Industries Ltd. is donating the same amount of roof trusses that were going to be installed on the Bakers' Mt. Sima subdivision home before it was destroyed.

Former Yukoner Ted Harrison, one of Canada's most renowned painters, is donating a piece of art to the fundraiser as well.

Attendees at the auction will also be able to bid on an offer to design their own piece of pottery and watch Patrick Royle of Raven Pottery construct it in his studio in Marsh Lake.

'(The Bakers) went into debt to buy the materials (to renovate their home) and now the materials are gone,' said Tanner. 'The funds will help them rebuild.'

Local singers and songwriters will be performing at the auction as well, which will be held at the Yukon Artists at Work's gallery in McCrae.
