Yukoners are promoting the territory's investment opportunities and mineral potential with the world's mineral industry at the 2010 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) annual conference in Toronto.
The event began Sunday and will conclude later today.
"PDAC provides us with a unique opportunity to highlight Yukon's rich mineral endowment to the global mineral industry,” Energy, Mines and Resources Minister Patrick Rouble, who is at the gathering, said last Friday.
"This event complements our efforts to highlight our incredible mineral wealth and excellent investment opportunities.”
The Yukon mineral industry will be represented at the core shack, investors exchange, trade show and technical program.
"This is a world-renowned conference,” said Economic Development Minister Jim Kenyon.
"It is a great opportunity to present our mineral industry to the world and encourage and reinforce investment partnerships.”
Rouble and officials from his and Kenyon's departments hosted a breakfast meeting with key members of the international investment community.
Attendance at PDAC also includes several first-time and follow-up meetings with mineral companies interested in pursuing investment opportunities in Yukon.
At the PDAC trade show, staff from Rouble's department planned to present details on Yukon mining and mineral exploration projects, government services, and the geological data available to the mineral sector.

Yukonminers self dellusional position that it is made in the Yukon is laughable but pathetic at best. We mine and sell the ore for pennys a ton while China laughs it up and manufactures (REAL JOBS) the ore and selling it back to us double, triple the cost.
Wheres your head? Pick up a book and read the Wealth of Nations for starters and try 'mining' some info for once.

Oh hush up. Go pollute some more of our environment. Those profits don't mine themselves.
