Bilateral engagements last week between Premier Sandy Silver and members of the federal cabinet advanced Yukon priorities in Ottawa, Silver said Friday.

“(Last) week, I met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and members of the federal cabinet to discuss the Yukon’s top priorities for the next federal budget and areas where our governments can continue to work together,” Silver said in a statement.

“These engagements with the federal government focused on promoting economic growth, critical minerals, addressing the Yukon’s infrastructure needs, funding to support quality health care services, and investments in housing and renewable energy.

“These are issues that are important to Yukoners where we can benefit from partnership and collaboration with the federal government. We also talked about the importance of working in partnership with Indigenous governments to move the territory and the country forward.”

Together with Yukon Days, Silver added, “these meetings provided a valuable opportunity to advocate for Yukoners and elevate the territory’s priorities at a national level.”

It appears Mr. Hanley has a new promotional staff with the sudden increase in reporting his activities lately. Spring election perhaps?

If the Liberal government had any clue what is important to Yukoners we wouldn’t be ..homeless, we would have enough nutrition in our suppers, ohhh the food bank wouldn’t have tripled the number-of people asking for food....Drugs? murder? Crime..shoplifting, theft, ODs. Violent youth, abuses in our school.. did the Liberals listen to any damn thing a Yukoners was interested in?

Welcome to the Brave New World - Deranged Unthinking Members of Parliament for Socialism, Totalitarianism, Equity, Reparations and Fascistic Ideology for Regulating Everything -

Really? You told Trudeau that Yukoners are sick and tired of the L-NDP lose your CASA due to high inflationary pressures caused by the L-NDP agreement… I did not think you had it in you Hanley.

What did Trudeau say?

Ah, nothing like schmoozing with the mucky-mucks in Ottawa. Imagine meeting "Black Face - in person even"? Oh what a honour (or horror) that must have been. Grovelling for more money. If they were prudent managers we wouldn't be continually asking for the same loaves of bread. I see even the FN made the list of must haves - all in the name of virtual signalling. Gotta keep those folk in line and happy that is first and foremost. The rest of us can go suck eggs - we are just the cash cows (as has been pointed out numerous times). I am sure as a parting goodbye he was given a special give away pen from BF as a token for being a loyal ally and wonderful liberal.

Oh we are so blessed. It is difficult during these moments to contain my emotions. I can see the warm glow that emanated out of their encounter that glorious day. It shall be remembered always by the peasants back home.
