Kerry Nolan, 42, was arrested after 8 p.m. Sunday after a witness reported a red Toyota crossing the centre line of the Alaska Highway near Rabbit’s Foot Canyon and driving into oncoming traffic.
Nolan appeared in territorial court Monday.
She is charged with: impaired driving, dangerous driving, two counts of assaulting a police officer, uttering threats, failing to provide a breath sample and driving while prohibited.
“In this instance, it was the actions of concerned citizens that helped bring this driver to the attention of the police before a collision occurred,” Whitehorse RCMP Cpl. Natasha Dunmall said in a statement.
“While we are grateful that the overwhelming majority of Whitehorse citizens oppose drinking and driving, we are concerned about the number of individuals who still choose to put themselves and others at risk.”

Nolan - repeat offender nothing new. She will be in the system until she's old and grey.

Police can only name people when the information has been sworn. In this case, it reads that Nolan appeared before the courts so her name would be a matter of public record that day. For drivers that are released on a promise to appear or other "paperwork" they can not be publicly identified until the information is sworn and made a public record.

Wolfe: Some elected officials might have to be named if that is the case. I seem to remember one of them refusing the breathalyzer not too long ago. oy

isn't this the same Kerry Nolan who was in the paper in December 2014 pleading her case because she figures that society owes her more (free housing, etc) despite her past violent history?
I suppose society is to blame for this also....

Not that I don't think this persons name should have been released, but wondering why other impaired drivers names are not released?
There have been numerous articles on impaired drivers and seldom is the person named.
