One mystery Yukoner received an especially large Christmas present this year, winning one of five $63,580 prizes, say lottery officials.

Carol Arntzen, Lotteries Yukon's general manager, told the Star this morning the winning ticket has not yet been claimed.

We know it was sold in Whitehorse for the Dec. 19 draw,' she said.

The estimated $9-million jackpot was not won, she said. The Yukon winner shares his or her prize with four other Canadians from the South of a total $317,900 prize.

The Yukoner won the Lotto 649 with five numbers plus the bonus, Arntzen said.

The largest lottery prize awarded to a Yukoner was $1 million in the Set for Life lottery in 2006, she said.

Arntzen also said as soon as the identity of the winner is known, Yukon Lottery officials will issue a press release.
