A 50-year-old Kelowna, B.C. woman has died, three days after she was a passenger in a single-vehicle rollover near Ross River.

The local RCMP were called to the crash on the Robert Campbell Highway at about 11 a.m. last Friday. The scene is about 93 kilometres southeast of Ross River. 

Officers said it appeared the driver, a 43-year-old man from Haines Junction, lost control on washboard conditions, rolling his 2001 Ford Ranger into the ditch. 

Seat belts were worn, and excessive speed or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, police said Tuesday.

The driver and passenger, whose names have not been released, were taken to Ross River, where they were offered medical treatment, but declined. 

Last Sunday morning, the woman was taken to the Ross River health center.

She was medevaced to Whitehorse General Hospital and later to Vancouver. 

The next day, the woman died in hospital of suspected brain injuries, police say.

An exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

Ross River RCMP are investigating with the coroner's offices of the Yukon and B.C. 

No charges have been laid. 

The name of the deceased is not being released.
