JSM, BnR & BJ: I was raised in a Catholic school system run by Salesian Jesuits who did not 'spare the rod', now I have mental health problems.
The bible is the biggest Ponzie scheme in the world!

Kids have been breaking windows since windows were invented.
That said we do live in a engineered, mollycoddled society with very little if any accountability for ones actions.
...and of course a reminder that the Y.O.A. was a Liberal construct, a nerf version of a very watered down “adult” version of laughable justice.

Hug a thug policies via Canadian Liberal Party start early.
Cradle to grave meddling, helping greatly creating the epically dysfunctional and very broken society...non gaslit folks can see omnipresent.

OR...maybe survivors from a public school experience might have finally WOKE the #&(@ UP, realizing how absolutely indoctrinated their childhood was...they lashed out?
Ya know kinda like those statue wrecking crews, full of rage?

JDM,

Hahaha are kidding me! You honestly think because they aren’t made to go to church or a strict daycare would make a difference. Give your head a shake. That’s one of the stupidest remarks I’ve ever seen on here.
I know many, many kids who don’t attend church or a strict daycare that turned out amazing! Send them to the Catholic Church they have a great reputation don’t they?

This is not news! This happens on a regular basis.
Why not feature an article, a researched and unbiased article, on the harms that La Nouveau Racism is having on society? How rainbow intersectionalisms have deadened the ability for intelligent discourse?

What about an article on the dumbing down of the collective mind?
Where is the article about the disintegration of the education system?
What about an article or two on the increase of impulse dysregulation, or the rise of narcissism, or the impact of technology and the rise of sociopathology?

How about an article on intercultural conflict across the globe or the Arabian slave trade, the enslavement of the Irish by the English, the hunting of Albino Africans... What about the blood feuds and the meaning of Arctic Red within Indigenous conflict?

I think the biggest problem with today's youth is that they are no longer made to go to church or strict day cares. They could learn some valuable lessons about discipline and caring for the feelings of others. To all my detractors in the comments, the way things are now with Kids having all the freedom in the world and no consequences to their actions 100 percent leads to less disciplined kids. A spanking with a wooden spoon doesn't hurt that much and builds character.

Bonanzajoe I have always suspected that a person, armed with a searchable digital bible, or a paper version if they have time on their hands, could probably prove any point they wanted to make by quoting from the bible. But there is nothing in that book that could convince me of anything, let alone the notion that beating a child with a stick is a good thing

Anie, It isn't fair to generalize about today's youth? What do you mean. It's true, many if not most of today's youth are out of control. Why do so many of them turn to drugs and alcohol? I can personally attest to the difference in today's youth to the youth in my early days. Yes, a good switch on the backside smartened a lot of us up. How about this, Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he is to go and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Or Proverbs 26:3 "A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the fools back". Can ya handle it?

"I remember when I was a youth you would catch a beating over something like this"
I remember when I was a youth, my mom wanted to get a job but my dad said no because the house wouldn't be as clean anymore. She didn't get a job. Had she, she likely would have caught a beating. My grandmother couldn't even vote when she was young. I'm not sure "Liberal influence" has anything to do with this.

Having video evidence is great. Question is, will the RCMP do anything? I know of a vehicle break-in at a local dealership where the perps and their vehicle were clearly caught on hi-res video and the RCMP declined to do anything about it. When it comes to theft and public drinking/intoxication there is essentially no law.

JSM,
Damn Liberals lol. That’s like blaming Carol Baskin! Kids have been smashing windows since the turn of time. And guess what? They still will continue doing it. Some kids are raised very well but get in a group setting and are dared or ridiculed if they don’t smash a window, some do it to look cool... yada yada yada.. Doesn’t necessarily mean bad parenting or them darn liberals!

To JSM - but I remember vandalism like this happening when I was a teenager, more than 50 years ago. It isn't fair, I think, to generalize about today's youth or their parents. It's good that we have video surveillance and maybe soon we will have better lighting to go with it.

Parents clearly cannot raise their children right as this is clearly the case of kids playing dumb games. I remember when I was a youth you would catch a beating over something like this. Now with all the Liberal influence it's apologizing to the kids for failing them somehow and not holding them responsible. No respect these days. Sad.
