The Drive Continues

THE DRIVE CONTINUES – Mark Wykes, the owner of Your Independent Grocer, is seen at the Whitehorse store last Thursday. The store’s annual holiday food drive continues until Dec. 24. Local residents are urged to make food or monetary donations to the Whitehorse Food Bank while they shop for groceries and other items. One hundred per cent of all food and monetary donations will go to the bank to help community members in need.

Mark is a truly remarkable person. Every community fundraiser, you will see the Independent on the list of those supporting, donating to the community. He is kind, and thoughtful.
I was in the store and had a small problem, did anyone call for help? Nope..they came right over and helped me. Nikki saw right away what my problem was and took care of it. I love that store! there was an elderly gentleman in produce, and, couldn't reach the lettuce.. i swear he looked at every head of lettuce before choosing the very best one for me. Thanks to Mark, and everyone at Independent.. there IS a reason why I shop there.
