Thieves made off with some cash from the convenience store at the Airline Inn early Tuesday morning.

At around 6 a.m., Whitehorse RCMP said Wednesday afternoon, two men went into the store with their faces covered - one wearing a ski mask, the other wearing a bandana.

The man with the ski mask carried a window scraper while the man with the bandana carried a small knife.

The thief with the knife demanded money and threatened the two store employees. One of the cashiers handed over a small amount of cash and the two men fled.

Both men appeared to be of first nations ancestry with the man carrying the knife described as about five feet, 10 inches tall and wearing a dark camouflage jacket along with the ski mask.

The other man was about five foot, seven inches in height and was wearing a grey jacket and toque along with the bandana.

As police continue their investigation, anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Whitehorse RCMP at 667-5555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
