A local teenager who died after being found unresponsive outside in the Kopper King Trailer Park Nov. 1 was moderately intoxicated, Yukon coroner Kirsten Macdonald said this morning.

Macdonald said the results of the blood analysis received last week indicates 15-year-old Tora-Lee Williams had a blood-alcohol level of between .12 and .15.

The legal driving limit is .08.

"That is consistent with a moderate intoxication,” she said.

"There were no other drugs found in her system.”

Macdonald said a cause of death has not yet been determined by the pathologist, though it is "not suspicious, just tragic.”

The toxicology report will be forwarded to the pathologist who will use it as part of the overall evidence to determine the cause of death, the coroner said.

She said she hopes to have a determination next month.

Williams was found outside by a Kopper King resident.

Attempts by emergency response personnel to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

Following her death, grief counselling was provided for students of Porter Creek Secondary School, where Williams had attended classes.
