Whitehorse RCMP received a number of calls from people who had heard gun shots being fired at around 11 p.m. Friday in the Baronov trailer park.

The man, in his mid-30s, suffered a wound to the buttocks area.

Also shot at was Daniel Horton, who escaped with no injuries.

Witnesses say they saw a truck pull away from the scene.

After a high-speed chase down the Alaska Highway, police were able to force the suspect up onto the median near Hamilton Boulevard.

Stephen Michael Horton, the 44-year-old brother of Daniel, was arrested. He has been charged with two counts of attempt to commit murder.
