A second body has been pulled from the charred remnants of a Ross River home that burned to the ground last Thursday in the small community northeast of Whitehorse.

"The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived," according to Whitehorse RCMP spokesman Sgt. Mark Groves.

On Friday, police reported one body was found by those investigating the blaze, but altered that report today.

"To date, the investigation has revealed that there were two bodies discovered in the residence," according to an RCMP news release.

While both bodies have been sent to Vancouver for autopsies, the fire is still under investigation, and police will not comment on whether foul play is suspected.

Groves told the Star this morning that forensic specialists from both the Yukon and B.C. are continuing their efforts to determine the cause of the fire.

Presumably both victims are from Ross River, population 348, but police are not releasing any names until positive identifications are made by the coroner in Vancouver.

Wow Crystal! I couldn't have said it any better, good one girl, and soooo true. Have some respect, Mosi, for what the REAL tradgedy is here....lives were lost....YOUNG lives. Now if you have something against the hotel in Ross, then maybe YOU should take it up with someone who can help you on that obvious problem you have.

What a terrible thing to have happen.

It's a shame that one would use such a tragedy to try to further their own political agenda. Am I the only one who thinks mosi sounds like she is threatening to make her prediction come to reality?
