Haines Junction RCMP are investigating an expensive school vandalism incident.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. last Sunday, police received a report of damage to the St. Elias School in Haines Junction.

Three windows were broken sometime over the weekend, along with a window in the school bus that was parked near the school.

A piece of wood was used to smash out the windows, which will cost several thousand dollars to repair.

Haines Junction RCMP are seeking any information from the public which may assist in the investigation. It’s believed the suspect(s) were in the area at around 2-3 a.m. last Sunday.

Anyone with information can reach the RCMP at 867-634-5555.
