Not everyone wants a big turkey dinner for Christmas. Others just want fast food.

Whitehorse RCMP are continuing to investigate break-in reports from four fast food restaurants in the city on Christmas Day.

Officers first responded to a break-in when the alarm went off at KFC on Second Avenue. There, they discovered a broken window, police said in a statement.

A representative from the business attended and the restaurant was secured.

Shortly after that, another alarm went off nearby at Pizza Hut, where a man was found in a storage shed on the property.

Officers were also kept busy by representatives of the local A&W and McDonald's restaurants, who found their businesses had also been broken into around the same time.

Cpl. Glenn Ramsay said this morning police are still investigating what, if anything, was stolen from the businesses.

Richard Nieman, 22, of Whitehorse, is facing four charges of break and enter, as well as one count of failing to comply with a probation order and one count of failing to comply with an undertaking.

He remains in custody and is set to appear in court on Jan. 9.
