Whitehorse RCMP have arrested two men and a woman after another man and woman were robbed Wednesday at Shipyards Park.

The RCMP are still searching for a fourth person believed to be involved in the incident.

The woman reported to the police that she and her boyfriend had been mugged while walking through Shipyards Park on their way home.

She said they were approached by the suspects, who assaulted the couple and stole $250 cash and a bottle of liquor before fleeing on foot, police said today.

The couple sustained minor injuries.

The time of the crime was not available this morning.

With the assistance of the police dog service, the RCMP arrested 21-year-old Alice Sam, 24-year-old Lyle Charles and 20-year-old Kristopher McCormick.

All three are Whitehorse residents.

They have been charged with numerous offences under the Criminal Code.

Those include resisting arrest, robbery, possession of a weapon, and numerous breaches of court-imposed orders.

The three people in custody were expected to make a brief court appearance today.

The investigation into the matter is continuing, police said.

"and numerous breaches of court-imposed orders." Why is it that we insist on just accepting these peoples blatant disregard for the law. No one follows up on the court orders and allow them to get away with anything. It seems just days ago many people were writing in regarding the Vagrancy article. Some were saying just leave them alone, they never harm anyone. What do you say now????
