Whitehorse RCMP are seeking public assistance to apprehend 20-year-old Anthony Charlie Skookum following an alleged sex assault last Friday at the Baronov trailer court in Porter Creek.

Police issued the public notice Friday afternoon.

Skookum is described as a First Nations male, clean shaven and with a buzz cut. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt and blue jeans.

He stands at 180 cm (six feet) and weighs 84 kg (185 lbs.).

"Anthony Skookum is known to police and has a history of violence,” said Sgt. Don Rogers, the Whitehorse RCMP spokesman.

"We are asking the public not to become involved with this person but to contact police and advise us of his whereabouts.”

This morning Skookum remained at large.

Police are advising people to take reasonable precautions of locking their doors, monitoring the whereabouts of their children and ensuring that they are not placing themselves in a vulnerable position.

I THINK I may have seen this lump at the WG Hospital in handcuffs a few days ago.

The Star should make a point of letting people know if these perps are caught so we stop looking out for them.

From the rumours I've heard this man should be hung from a tree, then left to rot.
