Whitehorse RCMP are requesting assistance in identifying a snowmobile involved in hit-and-run incident last Saturday.
Whitehorse RCMP are requesting assistance in identifying a snowmobile involved in hit-and-run incident last Saturday.
At 12:30 p.m. that day, police received a complaint of the hit-and-run on Venus Place in the Carcross Cutoff area.
“A snowmobile travelling southbound beside the Alaska Highway at a high rate of speed collided with a vehicle travelling on Venus Place toward the Alaska Highway,” police said Monday afternoon.
“The driver of the snowmobile initially stopped but then left, riding his snowmobile toward the Carcross Cutoff prior to exchanging insurance information.”
The snowmobile is described as a black Arctic Cat 900 with red and white stripes.
The driver is described as a First Nations man who appeared to be in his 20s, and is shorter than six feet tall.
Those who can help identify the driver of the snowmobile, or the machine itself, is asked to contact police at 667-5551.

A rough childhood perhaps so insurance will pay for damage and he will get a suspended sentence- Yukon justice.

Would be interesting to know if the tail light was broken. That's generally a sign of a stolen snowmobile.
